Last week I was on Spring Break with my kiddos, which meant I was NOT at my desk dealing with email as it flowed into my inbox. So by the time Friday rolled around, I took a peek at my personal inbox and it was JAMMED with marketing emails, newsletters, coupons, you name it. Not good.
Sometimes when I’m on an airplane, I take the time to manually cleanup my inbox — which generally looks like me sorting email by sender and then deleting 100’s of emails from every website or retailer from whom I have purchased anything. This time, however, I decided to try out an app I had heard about called Unroll.me.
A couple of clicks and literally 15 minutes later, this service accessed by inbox, identified the subscription-based emails that were filling my box, and then allowed me to select what emails I wanted to “Rollup”, what emails I wanted to continue to get in my inbox directly, AND allowed me to unsubscribe from the ones I no longer wanted to receive at all.
I’m now a few days into using this service, and it is a game-changer. The pic above is my actual “Rollup” from this morning. Can we all collectively laugh for a minute that it includes emails about wine, real estate, and music in that precise order? That may or may not be a close approximation of my personal interests and priorities.
In any event, I’m loving this one and wanted to share it. Clean up your inbox…right now… You’re welcome.
